Hey there — Just found your blog and I love it! I’m subscribing to your posts because your taste in books range, which is how I tend to be, and the books you’ve reviewed are very similar to the types of books that I like to read! I’m toying with the idea of blogging, but I’m so caught up in my job in the business world (yawn) for the past 8 years, that I’m worried about having the time to keep a good and entertaining blog like yours!

I also wanted to pass this site your way based on your recent blog on the library card “fun” that you experienced — it’s for those folks that are avid library visitors (to save money!); it’s and it’s fantastic for book lovers because you can trade books with other members from all over the place. You list your books that you’re willing to swap out (you don’t get them back, FYI), then when someone requests a book from you, then you pay for the shipping out to them (usually a couple of books through the post office). Then, when you see a book that you want and it’s available, you request it, and the member sends the book out to you, and they pay the shipping. You can create a Wish List and it’ll notify you when you’re next up to receive a book. I’ve gotten brand new books that have been read a couple of times, so they’re brand new! I’ve been a member for about 3 years now, and I’ve saved a TON of money! Best thing is that it’s free to be a member — without this site, I am sure I would miss out on some books because who’s got the cash to pay for these books brand new!

So anyway, love your posts — I look forward to your recommendations! (I just got “The Manual of Detection” tonight — I’ll read that once I’m done with “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” — you have got to read that one, dark and twisted, but would love to see what you think on it!).

Wow. Thank you so much. I’m so glad you found me. You should definitely start blogging. Bookgirl’s Nightstand encouraged me once I stumbled on this amazing community. You don’t have to post as often as I do (and sometimes I don’t post all that often). I just really enjoy having others out there who like to discuss books. Plus, it’s a great way to get new recommendations.

I will definitely look into paperbackswap as I have tons that I don’t really want to hang onto. What a great idea.

Thanks again for stopping by. Manual of Detection is a bit strange – I’ll be curious to see your thoughts on it. I did read Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, but it scared the pants off me, so I haven’t picked up the other two.

Have a great evening – jenn
